Statement of Faith
(from Trinity Bible Church)
I believe in one God, holy, infinite and personal, creator of all things, who exists eternally in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the all-powerful and all-knowing sustainer of the universe. His just and loving purposes are always accomplished.
I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is true God and true Man. He shared in creation with the Father, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He died as the final sacrifice for our sins, was buried, and rose physically from the dead. He ascended into heaven, where He intercedes for His people. He will return personally for His Church and will judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit. He convicts those who need salvation and is active in their being born again. He teaches, guides, equips, and enables God's people.
I believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is the infallible and final authority for what we believe and how we live.
I believe that Satan is a personal being. He is the enemy of God, the accuser and tempter of God's people, and the deceiver of all men. His final and complete overthrow is certain.
I believe that man was created in God's likeness to glorify God and to enjoy fellowship with Him forever. Man sinned, and so was separated spiritually from God. All men are sinners by nature and by choice.
I believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. God declares righteous all who trust in Christ's atoning death and are born of the Holy Spirit into the family of God, an eternal relationship.
I believe that the Church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and that it includes all who have been born again. Its mission is to spread the Gospel to the entire world, to instruct believers in God's truth, and to be for its members a fellowship of mutual helpfulness. The ordinances of the Church are baptism and the Lord's Supper.
I believe in the physical resurrection of the body. Believers will be raised to eternal joy and unbelievers to eternal misery.

Scripture Memorization by Chapter and
We are commanded in Joshua 1:8 to have God's Word in our hearts so that we can speak it and meditate upon it:
" This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."
Most believers know that we are to discipline ourselves to memorize Scripture, but many have no idea where and how to get started. For this reason, Kerry has developed an 8-week course that will introduce you step-by-step to memorizing in context by first educating you on why, according to Scripture, we are to memorize, and then the mechanics of how to actually go about it. By the time you complete the course, you will be memorizing and quoting God's Word out loud with confidence,
and you will have experienced incredible blessings from God first hand.
The course is designed to be used in various ways: the lessons can be done as homework, as class work, as discussion only, or as a self-study. The first few weeks will be focused on understanding why we are to memorize, and the lesson material will take 45 minutes to an hour. The introduction into memory work is intended to be gradual. As the course progresses, less of the class time will be spent on the lesson, and more time will be devoted to quoting and testimonies.
Each student will select their own passage of Scripture to memorize at their own pace, and will quote out loud what they have learned each week. Being accountable to each other, providing support and encouragement, sharing helpful tips, and imparting what God has taught each individual through the memorizing process are vital elements of the class. Since it is a self-paced exercise, the participants themselves will set their own goals, and will determine how much
time they should commit to reaching them.
